Terms and Conditions.

By using this website and/or placing an order with Kirre Ceramics, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. About us

Kirre Ceramics is a handmade pottery studio nestled in Exeter, Devon, where each piece is lovingly crafted by hand. Every item is unique and thoughtfully created with care for the environment. Our online store is hosted on Squarespace.

  2. Our Products

All of our pieces are lovingly handmade, so slight variations in shape, size, glaze, and finish are part of their unique charm. This is especially true for our hand painted items—each design is individually applied with a brush, without using any transfers, making every piece one-of-a-kind. If you purchase multiples, please keep in mind they may not be identical. For this reason, each item is listed separately. We strive to show colours as accurately as possible, but variations in screen settings and lighting may cause slight differences from what you see online.

  3. Care Recommendations

To preserve the unique beauty and longevity of each item, we recommend handwashing, as this gentler care is best suited for handmade ceramics.

All ceramics are vulnerable to thermal shock, larger pieces especially so. You can reduce the risk of this by avoiding exposing your pottery to sudden temperature changes. Examples of this could be warming teapots or large mugs with a little hot water before filling them, and never placing hot ceramics directly into cold water.

Please note, pottery purchased from Kirre Ceramics is not suitable for use in ovens or microwaves.

For further information please see the care cards included with your purchase.

  4. Packaging

We are deeply committed to protecting the environment and minimising our ecological footprint. That’s why we refuse to use plastic in our packaging. Each piece is carefully wrapped in honeycomb brown paper for cushioning, while the boxes are filled with 100% biodegradable cornstarch peanuts that dissolve easily in water for zero waste. Whenever possible, I reuse packaging to further reduce waste. We also encourage you to reuse our packaging whenever you can, helping us take care of our planet together.

  5. Shipping

At present, we ship exclusively within the UK. We strive to dispatch all orders within one week of confirmation. All parcels are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 to ensure timely delivery.

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout carefully, as we cannot accept responsibility for delivery issues resulting from incorrect information.

If your item arrives damaged during transit, please contact us as soon as possible—ideally within 24 hours—with clear photographs of both the packaging and the item. While we are not liable for damage caused by the courier, we will do our utmost to assist you in claiming compensation from Royal Mail where applicable.

Please note that delays in reporting damages can reduce the chances of a successful claim. Thank you for understanding. If you’d like to get in touch with us, please email hello@kirreceramics.co.uk

  6. Refunds and Returns

We hope you’re delighted with your purchase from Kirre Ceramics. If, for any reason, you’re not completely satisfied, we offer a refund on any item returned within 28 days of receipt, provided it is in its original packaging and in a saleable condition.

    Please note:

    • If the item is not damaged or faulty, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

    • When a refund is issued for a change of mind, the original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount.

To start a return, simply contact us at hello@kirreceramics.co.uk. We’re here to help.

  7. Orders and Payments

We accept card payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Your order is confirmed as soon as the payment is received.

  8. Liability

Kirre Ceramics takes every care in the creation and packaging of its products. However, as all items are handmade and individually hand painted, slight variations in colour, size, and finish are to be expected and are part of the unique character of each piece.

Kirre Ceramics shall not be held liable for any damage or injury resulting from improper use, handling, or care of the pottery. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow any care instructions provided with the product.

While all products are inspected before dispatch, Kirre Ceramics cannot accept liability for damage or loss occurring during shipment. Customers are encouraged to report any issues upon receipt promptly.

By purchasing from Kirre Ceramics, customers acknowledge and accept these terms and agree that Kirre Ceramics' liability is limited to the replacement of the faulty item, where applicable, and does not extend to any incidental or consequential damages.

  9. Privacy

Your privacy is very important to us. For more information on how we collect and use your data, please refer to our privacy policy.
